maiShrooms Collection
My latest collection is called maiShrooms. The original art is done with oil pastels on paper. Each drawing is an interchange of energy that creates dynamic movement tapping into a nature of wonderment, light, and hope. They are nostalgic and yet modern, creating a sense of magic with an ethereal sense of wonderment.
maiTextiles Collection
As I started exploring working the maiShrooms Collection on wood, cloth, and plastic products, I took a chance and decided to play with the images just to see what would happen. To my surprise, by shrinking the mushroom image and repeating it, more complex patterns appeared creating the illusion of a textile. I sit in wonderment and joy as the new designs appears. I call this the maiTextiles Collection.
